| Leaping Lizards! This dog has springs in his hind feet. I have seen him jump five, maybe six feet high to snatch a butterfly out of the air. He is just amazing to observe- so graceful and powerful at the same time. And water-oh don’t bring out the hose unless you want to be bent over from laughing so hard at his antics. He spent a week at Lake Michigan earlier this summer and really enjoyed swimming--even in the waves. Chico is a brilliant adult Brittany, full of life and extremely healthy. He came to live with us in May of 2009, transported all the way from Texas. He has a long white fluffy tail and the most beautiful eyes; a very attractive boy. He has adjusted well to our family environment, our routine. He does very well with other dogs and was very playful with Ivy, our other foster dog (who was just adopted). The two of them played non-stop in my back yard, chasing each other around until they passed out from exhaustion. Together, they were mighty hunters, stalking the devious butterflies that flitter through the yard. And woe to any squirrel that enters their domain! Chico is making great strides in trusting his foster family. He is very comfortable with me, and other women. He and I have began running together and he really enjoys it. He does very well on the leash and is learning basic obedience commands and he is showing great promise. He keeps me company in my garden and in my office. Chico also does well with my husband (especially when he is working with the water hose!). He is still shy around my son, but that is changing with time and conditioning. The cost to adopt Chico is $350 which helps to cover medical expenses incurred by the National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network.
