| Casey is a four year-old white and orange male. He weighs 49 pounds and walks very nicely on his leash. Casey is up-to-date on his vaccines, microchipped, neutered, heartworm negative on monthly preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick. Upon arrival Casey was having behavioral issues, after an exam with a chiropractor, it was determined he was in out of alignment and in a great deal of pain. Casey is responding well to treatment. He now enjoys being touched all over his body and his agility has greatly improved. Casey feels so great now that he can hardly stop smiling! Casey loves pointing at birds and butterflies. He has also taken a new hobby of climig the wood pile to get closer to the branches where the birds are. Casey retrieves birds to hand and has a soft mouth, so he may have been trained to be his previous owner's hunting companion, but no guarantees that he will hunt. Casey prefers to sleep under the bed after a full day of exercise. Casey can be left uncrated and is non-destructive when his foster parent is gone to work. Casey is also crate and house trained. Casey is outgoing when meeting people at home. He is hesitant of strangers when he is not familiar with his environment. Casey enjoys trips in the vehicle and loves visiting homes of people he is familiar with. Casey plays well with the other dogs in his foster home. Casey knows the commands of sit, stay, come here, kennel/crate, no, off, up, house, and move over. He knows how to shake his paws, switch them, and knows his left from his right. Casey holds still for grooming. An ideal home for Casey would be one with an experienced dog owner. A fenced yard is ideal so that he can freely put his nose to work!
