Annie left us Tuesday, November 26, 2023. She was a very easy decision to adopt when we saw her sweet picture shared to us by Sandra Toal. We jumped at the chance to be her new guardians. Annie was lovingly fostered by JoLynn Bakus in Ohio. Although Annie came with a few nervous tics, she worked through them with ease thanks to our dog Denver. She loved to go for walks, especially in the snow. Car rides and adventures were a few of her favorite things. Squirrel watching and sitting at the door to see the world go by were her other favorite things. She was able to go to the Atlantic Ocean many times, also to the beach and Fundy National Park to hike and play in the water. Annie truly loved her Daddy and cookies. As long as she had those every day, life was great. In 2019 we moved from the city to the country and 3 weeks later Denver left us. Annie was an only dog for 6 months and was spoiled rotten. We saw a picture on the NBRAN site of a boy named Cowboy looking for a forever home and we jumped at the chance to get him. Luckily were were able to get him in January of 2020, right before the borders closed from covid. Cowboy really taught Annie what it was like to be a dog. She played with toys all the time now, wrestled with her brother and found her voice. She told us stories about her day, fought for the prized spot in the bed next to her daddy and made sure she got a cookie first.
7 years was just not long enough to be Annie's loving parents. We truly loved her every minute of every day, even the night she ran away for 12 hours in the woods behind our home. Thank you for giving us the privilege to be parents of her and Cowboy. We are grateful to have had her in our lives and will miss her forever.
