It's just over three years since you told me you couldn't go on. But daddy left hours earlier and told you he would be home in a week. It was just you and me as the pups were in daycare that day. We knew you were close; we just didn't expect it to come so fast. We thought we'd have more time with you. Even now, as I type, I'm beginning to cry. I still can't believe you're gone. I never wanted that time to come, and I didn't want to have to go through it alone, without daddy beside us both. But you let me know you were ready, even if I was selfishly never going to be ready. You are my magnificent, beautiful boy, with the amazing recall, an even more amazing personality, and our Christmas present eater. You were Khloe's best friend and taught her how to be a dog, thank you for that, big boy. To say you were loved, you are still loved, is a colossal understatement. You were treasured and adored by Daddy and me. You were our fantastic boy. You are one of our babies. You changed the way we live with dogs, you taught us, and me, so much. You lifted us up and challenged us to be better, always better for you and our other Brittanys. Harley, I wish we could have stroked your gorgeous face and ears longer, but the eleven years we had with you, we treasure. We love you yesterday, today and tomorrow, Harley, and will look for you to greet us when our time comes to join you. For now, though, watch over us and protect us from where you and Khloe rest. We love you so much, Harley.
